For every kilogram of fish by-products we successfully upgrade to human-grade food products, we save one kilogram of fish that does not need to be farmed or caught at sea.
And when we succeed in processing millions of kilograms a year, we have a significant impact on both farming practices and sea catches.
Food miles
Imagine the food miles salmon and cod accumulate each day as trucks transport them to their destinations. Thanks to the impact of Ocean Company, we have saved a minimum of 425,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions by reducing the need for truck transportation.
